Agency: Utah College of Applied Technology

Line Item: Bridgerland ATC

Function

Bridgerland Applied Technology College (BATC) has campuses located in Logan, Brigham City and Rich County and provided 1,047,963 total membership hours in FY 2013. Of those membership hours, 74 percent were for post-secondary students and 26 percent were for secondary students from four school districts. BATC offers a full array of courses in business, information technology, health sciences, public safety, and technical trades (i.e. diesel mechanics, architectural drafting, cabinetmaking, carpentry, computer graphics design, and professional truck driving).

An articulation agreement with Utah State University (USU) provides a pathway for students with 900-hour BATC certificates to earn an Associate of Applied Science in General Technology upon completion of 33-38 additional semester credits at USU-Brigham City. BATC and Weber State University (WSU) also announced this year a new practical nurse to registered nurse program, providing opportunities for BATC practical nursing graduates to complete the final year of WSU's registered nursing program at BATC's Logan campus.
