After U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia died, the Washington Post printed an article claiming that along with his death would be the death of "original intent." This represents the constitutional crisis of our day: Constitutional Originalism v. Living Constitutionalism.
Originalism was the battle cry of the Patriots at the Bundy Ranch in 2014. It was the battle cry of the Patriots at the Malheur Wildlife Refuge in Oregon. Scalia was its champion on the U.S. Supreme Court, but the Obama administration, an out-of-control and power-hungry FBI and an extremist environmentalism in Oregon has assumed more power than the founders ever imagined and is undertaking a witch hunt to destroy liberty-minded citizens and their families.
Federal over-reach has been demonstrated by the heavy-handed tactics of the FBI which staged an illegal deadman's blockade on a desolate Oregon highway, and assassinated a peaceful and Liberty-loving rancher.
The intent was to intimidate and silence Scalia-type originalists, to destroy the ranchers, their families and to move them off their land for their greedy purposes. They may have thought that by incarcerating and creating felons out of several of this nation's finest Liberty fighters - their husbands and fathers - that Americans would all retreat to their homes and continue watching mindless reality shows and sports on TV.
Instead, it has given new life to the Liberty movement. Friends, our nation is in big trouble. One man has given his life for Liberty. Others are sitting in jail cells, 14 days in solitary confinement, without bail. It has been over a month now, and the Oregon State Police has refused to disclose the officers name/s or the body cameras that are required by Oregon law.
There has been no outrage. Why is that? How can YOU AND I stand by and do NOTHING?
