We’re celebrating Utah’s LGBTQ community in honor of Pride! Even though Pride doesn’t look the same this year, we can still show our support by reaching out to our LGBTQ neighbors, friends, and family.
Our LGBTQ Utahns need our friendship and advocacy, not just festivals and celebrations. One of the reasons I am running for Congress is to be a leader in creating a more equitable Utah, and that includes fighting for every Utahn regardless of their gender and/or their sexuality.
So today I am checking in with my LGBTQ friends and family, and hoping to make new friends in the community during Pride month. Together we can strengthen our community and help make Utah an even more welcoming place for all.
I am looking forward to celebrating Pride in-person later this year. Until then let’s continue keeping our communities safe so that we can celebrate together.
