Each month, in the Early Childhood Connections section of the newsletter we will pick a theme that coincides with a child's world and offer child development information for parents. Family relationships are the focus of this month's feature written by Discovery Gateway's Assistant Operations Director, Tammy M. Spicer, MAEd.

Many Ways to Give Thanks

Help Discovery Gateway provide no-cost memberships to local Head Start families through our End of Year giving campaign. The 2013 campaign provided nearly 200 memberships to Head start families, and our goal for 2014 is to increase that number to 350!

iscovery Gateway is also expanding the giving campaign to reach families in transitional or transitory housing situations at The Road Home shelter or Ronald McDonald House through Discovery Partnership Passes.

 

The gift of inspiration and discovery starts at just $35 per family. 

*All donors at $35 and higher will receive two day passes

to come and visit us at Discovery Gateway.

**All donations of $500 or more will be entered to win a Jazz Suite, inclusive of catering
(beverages not included)

 

Science Olympiad Fun Day Science Festival 
Thursday, November 20 | 4 - 6 pm
FREE event in the Kem and Carolyn Gardner Theater
Museum admission may be purchased separately

Discovery Gateway and Utah Science Olympiad have joined forces to get children excited about science learning and discovery. Activities are intended for children in grades K-5.

Subjects include: sound, architecture, biology, nutrition, anatomy, physics, geology, chemistry, forensics and measurement.

 

Breakfast and Brunch with Santa

Members: $22 per Child/$27 pe r Adult
Nonmembers: $27 per Child/$32 per Adult

Make it a family tradition to give back to the community on the day before Thanksgiving at Discovery Gateway! Bring in a donation for the Utah Food Bank and receive 1 FREE admission for every 2 non-perishable food items donated at the museum during this one-day-only event!

 

All annual family memberships will be $10 off during the Holiday Food Drive.

Rumbi Island Grill
Receive one free kid's meal per adult meal purchased at Rumbi Island Grill when you show your Discovery Gateway membership card or admission wristband from that day's museum visit.

Offer valid anytime, even on Sundays when the museum is open 12 - 6 pm and Gateway parking is free!
