National Health Center Week 2014 (August 10th-16th), Celebrating America’s Health Centers: Local Engines for Healthier Communities, Kicks Off Next Monday!
Events, Events, Events! Health Centers across the nation have posted hundreds of events to the NHCW website! Health Centers are planning great celebrations including cooking classes, health fairs, luaus, ribbon cuttings, treasure hunts, “cruise-in” car shows and more. If you have an event lined up but haven’t posted it, there is still time. Remember, posting your event plans online is the best way to raise visibility for your Health Center's event and earn eligibility for sponsorship.
The NHCW Picture and Video Contests Have Begun! The Picture and Video Contests formally started on August 1st and will run through August 29th. Using photos and video is a great way to show off the great work of your Health Center. Contest rules, submission instructions, and tips for winning pictures and videos can be found on the contest page of the NHCW website. Voting on the top submissions will run from September 8th – 12th. Check out the videos from Picture Contest sponsor UnitedHealthcare and Video Contest sponsor Nextgen.

We’ve already received a flurry of proclamations from Governors, County Commissioners and more! Download and customize our proclamation template which can be sent to your city/town council or state legislators to ask for their help to secure a Proclamation in recognition of NHCW.
