At this year’s Moments of Change conference, we are proud to present:
“Drug Decriminalization in Portugal:
Lessons for Creating Fair and Successful Drug Policies”
 Presented by
Glenn Greenwald
Award-winning Journalist and Writer
Most recently known for his exclusive groundbreaking story about Edward Snowden and NSA surveillance tactics
Mr. Greenwald will examine the so-called “Portugal Experiment” where drugs were decriminalized in Portugal in 2001. How has the experiment worked out? What were the results? What can we learn?
The societal impact of substance abuse affects millions of people and continues to dominate news headlines. This dramatic issue is forcing policy discussions at all levels of government and requires input from experts in the treatment field to help chart a responsible course forward.
