From our friends at Half in Ten:

We are excited to announce that the launch of TalkPoverty.org will be this Monday 5/19! A project of the Half in Ten Education Fund, TalkPoverty.org is a new online hub where people can learn about poverty in America and what we can do to dramatically reduce it The vibrant anti-poverty community nationwide will serve as our reporters on the ground. A highlight of TalkPoverty.org is its cutting-edge blog. This will feature posts by guest contributors from across the nation, including low-income people; advocates, activists, policy experts and researchers; direct service providers; civic leaders; and many more. Greg Kaufmann, former poverty correspondent for The Nation, serves as Editor and works with contributors to make the posts accessible for a popular audience.

The site will also offer the most recent statistics on poverty in America, interactive, state-by-state poverty data, links to national and local anti-poverty organizations, and resources for further learning, including Half in Ten’s resources and our favorite articles.

We would greatly appreciate if you could help us advertise the site on social media and through your networks. The twitter handle for TalkPoverty.org is @talkpoverty and our Facebook page is TalkPoverty.
