I have read the manual associated with HB246. It is clearly NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN IN THOSE AGE RANGES and leaves way too much leeway for teachers to exploit their young minds and encourage inappropriate behavior.
I have also read the bill. How sickening that they have removed many of the safeguards from the original. The effect that this bill would impose would be terrifying to say the least. My children are young and innocent. I will teach them about sexual health when i know they are ready. Perverted teachers will have license to assign homework and do role playing activitIes, The damage of which, I cannot even imagine, and under the protection of "teaching".
While the bill is sprinkled with some good aspects, it is smeared with so many gross changes, it really makes me so sick.
DO NOT PASS THIS BILL. I BEG YOU, FOR THE SAKE OF MY CHILDREN, FOR THE SAKE OF OUR STATE, WHICH WILL SEE A HUGE RISE IN IRRESPONSIBLE SEX AND THE MANY DAMAGES TO FAMILY AND COMMUNITY LIFE THAT FOLLOW, DO NOT PASS THIS BILL.
I am only one voice, but I speak for many.
WE ARE WATCHING YOU. YOU WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR REPRESENTING US PROPERLY.
