Subject: Repeal SB 150, SB 199, SB 216
Date: Mon May 16 05:01:59 MDT 2016
Dear Senators and Representatives,As residents of the newly incorporated Millcreek City, we are incensed and dismayed by the over reach on our rights of the newly passed SB 150. This is a punitive law with requirements we have already met by large majority in the last election.
Please restore the rights of the people of Millcreek. Millcreek residents have voted to incorporate and this should include all the rights of every other new city in Utah, including the right to a special election for officers, to choose their own boundaries, and be debt free according to their incorporation petition and incorporation law. Do not allow those who stand to lose revenue by the Millcreek Incorporation to take away the rights that belong to every new city in Utah.
We ask you to consider these items in the special session:
1. Repeal or line through SB 150 (2016)
2. Repeal or line through SB 199 (2015)
3. Repeal or line through SB 216 (2014)
4. Legislate that "No public funds can be used to promote or defeat incorporation or annexation.² With a penalty.
