Dear Representative Lifferth,
I understand that you, as a member of the House Education Committee, will have a chance to vote on SB 38 today. I recently became aware of SB 38 through my daughter's school, Thomas Edison. While I support every parent's choice on where to send their child for schooling, I have been very pleased with the education my daughter has received. Izzy is in Kindergarten, but she is well ahead of where I thought she'd be. Because of the experience Izzy has had, I fully intend to send my other children, Joseph and Rose, to Thomas Edison as well. Given how positive the experience has been, you can imagine my surprise in learning how much less Izzy's education is being funded ($580 per year). I'm grateful to the Charter Funding Task Force for identifying this discrepancy, and hope you will strongly consider supporting SB 38 to rectify this inequality. Thank you for your service to our state, and for your service on the House Education Committee.
Thank you for your time and consideration!
