Dear Education Committee Member:

Please vote YES on SB 104 and NO on HB 305, HJR 16, HB 297, HB 342 and HB 186

As a parent having had six children go through the school system, we have seen how politicized the State School Board and it's selection process has been. The current system for electing state school board members has got to go.  What we have as a result of the current school board is bad education policy including Common Core, SAGE testing, and massive student data mining.

We feel that our vetting the candidates in our partisan, grass-roots caucuses is the best way for the State School Board to be selected by the people of Utah.  The naysayers complain that this will politicize education when, in actuality, it already is politicized and leans far to the left which is against the way the vast majority of Utahns think and feel.

Thanks for voting so that parents and citizens have more control over the education of their kdis.

Sincerely,

David and Shellie LeFevre
