Dear Representative,

Thank you for your service in the legislature.

On the agenda for the House Education Committee Meeting in the morning, I understand, is HB 81.

This is a bill that I support. And I urge you to give it a favorable recommendation.

Currently, only 15 Utah parents are allowed to participate in the review process for the new SAGE ("Common Core") tests. But this should be open to ANY interested parent who is willing to participate and sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Parents primarily are responsible for the education of their children. How can they possibly do their job if they are not allowed to review curricula and make recommendations in that regard?

The state has a secondary, supportive role in the education of our children.

Please vote YES on HB 81.

Thank you.
