My parents learned from the Moore's studies: children thrive in an emotionally loving atmosphere, educationally and socially
Six of my siblings and I were pulled out of the public education system in 1993 and allowed to learn and develop according to our own speed and interests. 5 out of 6 of us went on to do very well in college, to marry and have happy, stable families of our own. I am now home-schooling my own children and greatly enjoy watching them learn and grow with me at home. They are in no way behind their peers who attend pre-school, kindergarten, or grade school.
I know this is just one story, but I believe it represents a true principle, that children do best being taught by the one who loves them most: Mother. Educating mothers to their true potential, rather than striving to replace them in their stewardship, should be our focus to improve the futures of our children and communities.
Please oppose HB 96. Preschool is not a solution for helping our children reach their full potential .
