Subject: HB 112
Date: Wed Feb 26 15:48:23 MST 2014
Body:
Please do not support HB 112. It is misguided and does not protect children or consumers. It is a bill which gives big tobacco market control. They have never had the public interest in mind. This bill is created out of ignorance and knee jerk reactions to one extremely small survey. I believe that big tobacco or the tobacco settlement fund are behind this bill and the people bringing this bill forward.
I was a 20 year smoker who tried everything to quit. nothing worked until vaporizing. I have not had a cigarette in over two years and I am nicotine free. I am a registered voter, 46 year old home owner in weber county.
I oppose this bill. You cannot control the internet. You are hindering local business who have done nothing but attempt to educate you and the general public. We in Utah are so full of ignorance and fear. Please do not pass this bill. It does little if anything to keep children safe. How does a kid order products online without a credit card ? How about focusing on clean air instead of tiny puffs of water vapor. You don't seem to mind big companies belching tons of deadly chemicals into our air but you want to control people trying not to take in toxic chemicals anymore.
Its not smoke, its vapor. relax
