Dear House Education Committee,

I request that you do not pass HB 131 out of committee. We won't be gaining anything but a huge debt.  Look at California's fiasco with Ipads. They are locked into leasing the software which cost them more than ever anticipated and I quote: "
" it turns out that the district costs for the software on its thousands of student-friendly tablets could be $60 million a year higher than anticipated."  The technology will be always be changing.  The debt will outweigh any benefit we would hope to gain.

Thank you,
Karen James
