Dear Members of the House Education Committee:

I am a resident of South Jordan. I live near the town center and therefore my children go to older, established schools, and the children I still have at home are teenagers. Therefore, the bond which was defeated in November would not have directly impacted me or my household. However, I voted for it simply because I know that new schools are needed. I'm quite glad the bond failed, however, because I do not believe that Jordan District residents are the only ones responsible for providing schools for the children of this state. Every resident of Utah has a stake in the success of our children! That is why I WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE BILLS TO EQUALIZE EDUCATION FUNDING!

I'm guessing that HB109 would not begin to provide all the funds necessary for the new schools that are needed, but it would get the process rolling. OUR STATE NEEDS NEW SCHOOLS! That is why I ASK YOU TO SUPPORT HB109.

Thank you!
