Take Me Out To The Ball Game!

Dear Dean,

We are starting a new tradition at the Brain Injury Alliance of Utah to gratefully highlight each of our corporate sponsors for their generosity towards our cause. Because the services we provide to our clients are all free, we rely on grants, donations and sponsorships from businesses to keep our doors open. This month learn all about the University of Utah Rehabilitation Center. This great organization helps many who have walked through our doors.

On August 22 we are joining up with the Orem Owlz for "Brain Injury Awareness Night." We invite you to join us for this special evening which is happening exactly one month from today! We are looking for a Brain Injury Alliance supporter who would like the honor of singing the national anthem to start the game on a high note. If you are interested, please contact our office at 801-716-4993 or via email.

Sincerely,
Ron Roskos

University of Utah Rehabilitation Center Helps TBI Victims Post Injury

On a bright, sunny day Abigayle Ottley and her friends went to the Jordanelle Reservoir to enjoy the day when disaster struck.  After crashing on a personal watercraft, Abigayle suffered a broken back, pelvis, and a brain injury.  Despite being on life support and a coma for a short time, she credits her rehabilitation team at the University of Utah for saving her life, and never giving up on her.

The Rehabilitation Team at University of Utah Health Care understands the complexities of brain injuries and the unique needs of patients recovering from these injuries. At the University, we have specialty trained teams to treat these injuries under the leadership of a board certified physiatrist, also known as rehabilitation physicians, who are nerve, muscle, and bone experts that treat injuries or illnesses that affect how you move.
