Subject: Prioritize HB 256 Adoptee/Birthmother Options for Senate Vote PLEASE
Date: Fri Mar 07 16:46:43 MST 2014
We would appreciate you voting to Prioritize HB 256 next week for Senate Vote. We have worked tirelessly since 1994 to reach a consensus between Utah Adoption Council, Birthmothers and adoptees for a more reasonable policy and bill for this special Utah community of people
We would never place a child for adoption in Utah, with the current laws so closed. We would rather send our child out of state to have the child where there are open records to reunite with this family member later in life.
Our preference would be to have ad adopted out child live and be raised in the great state of Utah, but unless this law passes we would seek another arrangement.
