Update: Georgia is almost there, but we still need your help!
Convention of States

Dean,

I just wanted to send you a quick email to clarify the status of the Convention of States application in Georgia. I apologize if you were confused by our previous email, and I'd like to make sure we're all on the same page.

It's true that both houses of the Georgia legislature have passed our application—but the process is not quite complete!

The Georgia Senate passed a slightly different version of the COS application than the Georgia House, so the leadership from the House and Senate must come together to decide which version they want to use.

Once this decision is made, the House or the Senate (whichever house did not pass the agreed-upon resolution) will vote once more. After this vote occurs, Georgia will have officially passed the Convention of States application.

Until then, we still need you to call and write your legislators in Georgia, asking them to support this historic movement in their state.

I'm looking forward to giving you more good news from Georgia in the next few weeks.

Sincerely,

Michael Farris
Head of the Convention of States Project
