Subject: Proposed bills
Date: Sun Feb 23 03:30:25 MST 2014
As a parent & grandparent in North Salt Lake, I would like to express my feelings about 3 proposed bills:
HB 131 - I oppose this bill strongly. Privacy would be trampled which is irresponsible. And there are MUCH better ways our educators can use money than providing children with Ipads that would not be properly cared for, just taken for granted because they would be "free" for students. A budget nightmare!
HB 342 - I support this bill. I believe we should have local control to write standards and curriculum for our children in UT.
HB 228 - I support this bill. Citizens should elect state school board members rather than having them appointed.
Thank you for representing my wishes.
