Thank you for the link to your blog. I hope to see legislation passed this year that will address the unique needs of our state for air quality regulations.

Thanks, Ann.  I share many of your same concerns.

Have you read my blog about air quality at http://senatedist23.wordpress.com/2012/09/24/im-concerned-about-our-air-quality/

I would also encourage you to check out http://www.cleanair.utah.gov/

Air quality is one of my top priorities. In reality, our air in the Salt Lake Valley is much cleaner than 10 years ago and substantially cleaner than 20 years ago.

While there is much to be done, even the early pioneers faced winter inversions when all of the sample from their coal-fired stoves got trapped in the Valley.

Again, thanks for contacting me.

Todd,

I hope the legislature will not only approve the governor's proposal to improve air quality, I hope it will also pass legislation to allow the DAQ to raise Utah air quality standards beyond the federal level. The geography of the Wasatch Front needs regulations different from the rest of the country.
