I think since we last worked on adoption bills, I have Snow Christensen and joined this smaller firm.  It was a big change for me after 17 yrs at SCM, but it is going well.

I’m reaching out to offer my support and recommendation on Margaret Plane for the Ct of Appeals.  After law school, Margaret and I were both clerks for Judge Greenwood on the Utah Court of Appeals (2004) and overlapped for about 6 months.  I have followed her impressive career since then.  She was great to work with, she understood well the appellate process, and is an excellent writer.  In my experience, she is honest, ethical, and very smart.  Some people are made to be appellate judges and some are better fit for the trial court.  I think Margaret should do very well at the appellate level if given the opportunity.  In my observation, she has been careful, diplomatic, and fair in her dealings with people and cases. 

I hope her confirmation hearing will go well, and that your committee can give her appointment a positive recommendation.
