(iii) School districts shall have no duty to provide transportation for students made eligible
2
for permits under this section.

(iv) The application for admission to driver education shall be accompanied by the same
4
documentation and be subject to the same requirements and penalties as provided under Subsection
5
(2)(c).

(4) Except as provided in this section, a holder of a restricted hardship permit is considered
7
under all applicable motor vehicle laws of this state, as if the holder were 16 years of age holding
8
a provisional license.

(5) A restricted hardship permit allows the holder, while having the permit in the holder's
10
immediate possession and having permission of the holder's parent or guardian, to operate a class
11
D motor vehicle only:
12
(a) between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.;
13
(b) outside of any urbanized area;
14
(c) not more than 50 miles from the holder's residence; S [and]

(d) WHILE NOT DRIVING ON AN INTERSTATE FREEWAY; AND
15
[(d)]
(e) s
while actually driving:
16
(i) to and from the holder's residence and employment;
17
(ii) to and from the holder's residence and school or school sponsored activity at the
18
holder's school; or
19
(iii) on assignment of a farmer or rancher while engaged in an agricultural activity.

(6) (a) Except under Subsection (5)(b), a restricted hardship permit is valid for up to two
21
years or until the holder is issued a license under this chapter, whichever is sooner.
22
(b) The division may immediately revoke from a person, all driving privileges granted
23
under this section, upon receiving a record of a conviction for any reportable violation as defined
24
in Section 53-3-102 or any driving restriction under this section.
