NEW MOTOR VEHICLE BROKER

5 AN ACT RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES; PROHIBITING THE BROKERING OF A NEW
6 MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT A LICENSE; AND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY.
7 This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
8 ENACTS:
9 41-3-201.5, Utah Code Annotated 1953
10 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
11 Section 1. Section 41-3-201.5 is enacted to read:
12 41-3-201.5. Brokering of a new motor vehicle without a license prohibited.
13 (1) Except for the owner or lessee of a new motor vehicle, a person, may not, for a fee,
14 commission, or other form of compensation, arrange, offer to arrange, or broker a transaction
15 involving the sale or lease of the new motor vehicle unless the person is licensed under Section
16 41-3-202.
17 (2) A person who violates this section is guilty of a class B misdemeanor.
