First Substitute H.B. 100

Representative DeMar Bud Bowman proposes to substitute the following bill:

2 1998 GENERAL SESSION
3 STATE OF UTAH
4 Sponsor: DeMar Bud Bowman
5 AN ACT RELATING TO APPROPRIATIONS; APPROPRIATING $50,000 FROM THE
6 GENERAL FUND TO THE OFFICE OF UNIVERSITY ADVANCEMENT OF SOUTHERN
7 UTAH UNIVERSITY FOR THE UTAH SUMMER GAMES; AND PROVIDING AN
8 EFFECTIVE DATE.
9 This act enacts uncodified material.
10 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
11 Section 1. Appropriation.
12 (1) There is appropriated $50,000 from the General Fund for fiscal year 1998-99 to the
13 Office of University Advancement of Southern Utah University to help defray the costs of staging
14 the event known as the Utah Summer Games.
15 (2) It is the intent of the Legislature that this appropriation be ongoing.
16 Section 2. Effective date.
17 This act takes effect on July 1, 1998.
