APPROPRIATION FOR UTAH HIGHWAY PATROL DIVISION
1999 GENERAL SESSION

AN ACT RELATING TO PUBLIC SAFETY AND APPROPRIATIONS; APPROPRIATING
$305,400 FROM THE GENERAL FUND FOR FISCAL YEAR 1999-2000 TO THE UTAH
HIGHWAY PATROL DIVISION TO FUND THE ADDITION OF 6 NEW FIELD TROOPERS;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
This act enacts uncodified material.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
Section 1. Appropriation.
There is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 1999-2000, $305,400 to the
Utah Highway Patrol Division of the state Department of Public Safety, for the costs directly
involved in the addition of 6 new field troopers.
Section 2. Effective date.
This act takes effect on July 1, 1999.
