APPROPRIATION FOR SOUTHERN CORRIDOR

6 AN ACT RELATING TO APPROPRIATIONS; APPROPRIATING $5,000,000 FROM THE
7 GENERAL FUND FOR FISCAL YEAR 1999-2000 TO THE DEPARTMENT OF
8 TRANSPORTATION FOR THE SOUTHERN CORRIDOR HIGHWAY; AND PROVIDING AN
9 EFFECTIVE DATE.
10 This act enacts uncodified material.
11 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
12 Section 1. Appropriation.
13 (1) Except as provided in H.B. 4, Appropriations Coordination Act, there is appropriated
14 from the General Fund for fiscal year 1999-2000, $5,000,000 to the Department of Transportation.
15 (2) It is the intent of the Legislature that this appropriation shall be used for design,
16 right-of-way acquisition, and construction of the Southern Corridor Highway from the proposed
17 interchange at Atkinville Wash on Interstate 15 to State Route 9 in Hurricane.
18 (3) The money appropriated in Subsection (1) is nonlapsing.
19 Section 2. Effective date.
20 This act takes effect on July 1, 1999.
