    The Judiciary Committee reports a favorable recommendation on H.B. 139, PUBLIC ATTORNEYS ACT, by Representative G. Curtis, with the following amendments:

1.    Page 1, Line 8:    After "MATTERS" delete "AND"

2.    Page 1, Line 9:    After "CHANGES" insert "; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE"

3.    Page 11, Line 336:    After line 336, insert:
        "Section 10. Effective Date.
        This act takes effect on January 1, 2001."
