RESOLUTION APPROVING REMOVAL OF
DISTRICT COURT FROM PARK CITY
2000 GENERAL SESSION
STATE OF UTAH

A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE LEGISLATURE APPROVING THE REMOVAL OF THE
DISTRICT COURT FROM WITHIN THE MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES OF PARK CITY,
UTAH.
Be it resolved by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
WHEREAS, a circuit court was located within the municipal boundaries of Park City, Utah
on and before January 1, 1994;
WHEREAS, Section 78-3-13.4 requires the Legislature to approve by joint resolution
removal of a district court from a municipality in which the district court or the circuit court existed
on January 1, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the Utah Judicial Council and Park City propose to close the Park City
location of the district court in order to open a Silver Creek location of the district court:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of the state of Utah
approves removing the district court from within the municipal boundaries of Park City, Utah.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be sent to the Utah Judicial
Council and Park City.
