OLD IRONTOWN AS STATE PARK

             5      AN ACT RELATING TO PARKS AND RECREATION; INCORPORATING OLD IRONTOWN
             6      INTO THE STATE PARK SYSTEM; APPROPRIATING $100,000 FROM THE GENERAL
             7      FUND FOR FISCAL YEAR 2000-01 TO THE DIVISION OF PARKS AND RECREATION FOR
             8      DEVELOPMENT OF OLD IRONTOWN; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
             9      This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
             10      ENACTS:
             11          63-11-66, Utah Code Annotated 1953
             12      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             13          Section 1. Section 63-11-66 is enacted to read:
             14          63-11-66. Old Irontown incorporated into state park system.
             15          The Division of Parks and Recreation shall accept the donation of Old Irontown from the
             16      Sons of Utah Pioneers and incorporate the site into the state park system.
             17          Section 2. Appropriation.
             18          (1) There is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 2000-01, $100,000 to the
             19      Division of Parks and Recreation for the development of Old Irontown.
             20          (2) The money appropriated in Subsection (1):
             21          (a) may be used to:
             22          (i) acquire property necessary to provide access to or parking at the site;
             23          (ii) acquire water rights;
             24          (iii) construct restrooms or other facilities; or
             25          (iv) preserve existing historic structures; and
             26          (b) is nonlapsing.
             27          Section 3. Effective date.


             28          This act takes effect on July 1, 2000.
