             5      AN ACT RELATING TO COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT; CREATING
             6      AN S [ ON GOING ] s ANNUAL APPROPRIATION OF $75,000 FOR THE UTAH FESTIVAL
             7      OPERA COMPANY; CREATING AN S [ ON GOING ] s APPROPRIATION OF $160,000 FOR THE
             8      UTAH SHAKESPEAREAN FESTIVAL; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
             9      This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
             10      ENACTS:
             11          9-6-206, Utah Code Annotated 1953
             12          53B-7-601, Utah Code Annotated 1953
             13      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             14          Section 1. Section 9-6-206 is enacted to read:
             15          9-6-206. Appropriation.
             16          There is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 2000-01, S [ and for each fiscal
             17      year thereafter,

$75,000 to the Utah Division of Fine Arts to be used by the Utah Festival Opera
             18      Company.
             19          Section 2. Section 53B-7-601 is enacted to read:

Part 6. Appropriation for Utah Shakespearean Festival

             21          53B-7-601. Appropriation.
             22          There is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 2000-01, S [ and for each fiscal
             23      year thereafter,

$160,000 to the Utah State Board of Regents to be used by the Utah Shakespearean
             24      Festival.
             25          Section 3. Effective date.
             26          This act takes effect on July 1, 2000.
