Mr. Speaker:
The Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Committee reports a favorable recommendation on H.B. 81, CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES PRECURSOR AMENDMENTS, by Representative A. Tyler, with the following amendments:
1. Page 8, Line 232: After "activity;" delete "or"
2. Page 8, Line 235: After "activities;" delete "and" and insert "or"
3. Page 8, Line 235: After Line 235 insert:
"(iii) a business or other lawful activity providing or using anhydrous ammonia for refrigeration applications; and"
4. Page 8, Line 236: After "in compliance with" and before "federal 29 CFR" insert ":" and then insert "(i)" to begin a new paragraph.
5. Page 8, Line 237: After "Administration" but before "." insert ", if the anhydrous ammonia is for agricultural or industrial applications; or
(ii) the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR) standard referred to as American National Standard for Equipment, Design, and Installation of Ammonia Mechanical Refrigerating Systems ANSI/IIAR 2-1999, or the most current edition of this standard approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), if the anhydrous ammonia is for refrigeration applications"
