Mr. Speaker:
The Revenue and Taxation Committee reports a favorable recommendation on H.B. 257, CAPITOL PRESERVATION BOARD DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, by Representative R. Short, with the following amendments:
1. Page 1, Line 10: After "COMMISSION;" delete "AND" and after "CORRECTIONS" insert "; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE"
2. Page 6, Line 174: At the end of line 174, delete the colon.
3. Page 6, Line 175: At the beginning of line 175, delete "(A)"
4. Page 6, Line 177: At the end of line 177, delete the semi-colon and insert a period.
5. Page 6, Lines 178 - 181: Delete lines 178 through 181.
6. Page 7, Line 191: At the end of line 191, delete the colon.
7. Page 7, Line 192: At the beginning of line 192, delete "(a)"
8. Page 7, Line 194: At the end of line 194, reinstate the period and delete the semi-colon.
9. Page 7, Lines 195 - 198: Delete lines 195 through 198.
10. Page 11, Line 307: After line 307 insert:
"Section 5. Effective date.
If approved by two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, this act takes effect upon approval by the governor, or the day following the constitutional time limit of Utah Constitution Article VII, Section 8, without the governor's signature, or in the case of a veto, the date of veto override."
