Mr. Speaker:

    The Revenue and Taxation Committee reports a favorable recommendation on H.B. 301, CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM AMENDMENTS, by Representative R. Becker, with the following amendments:
1.    Page 10, Line 285:    After Line 285, insert:
        "(iii) Nothing in Subsection (1)(b)(ii) requires the lieutenant governor to investigate, sanction, impose penalties, submit for prosecution, or otherwise respond to an allegation that a state office candidate has expended monies from the accounts required by this section for personal use."

2.    Page 11, Line 316:    After Line 316, insert:
         "(c) Nothing in Subsection (3)(b) requires the lieutenant governor to investigate, sanction, impose penalties, submit for prosecution, or otherwise respond to an allegation that a legislative office candidate has expended monies from the accounts required by this section for personal use."
