    The Revenue and Taxation Committee has returned S.B. 51, SALES AND USE TAX EXEMPTION - CERTAIN PURCHASES OR LEASES BY A MANUFACTURER, by Senator H. Stephenson, to the Secretary of the Senate with the following amendments:
1.    Page 1, Line 7:    After "EXPANDING" insert "AND MODIFYING"

2.    Page 4, Line 102:    After "process" insert ": (I)" and after "state;" insert "and" and after Line 102 insert:
        "(II) to manufacture an item sold as tangible personal property;"

3.    Page 4, Line 109:    After "process" insert "to manufacture an item sold as tangible personal property"

4.    Page 4, Line 110:    After "years" delete ": and" and insert ";"

5.    Page 4, Line 116:    After "maintenance;" insert "and" and after Line 116 insert:
        "(D) not including tangible personal property consumed in the manufacturing process;"

6.    Page 5, Line 123:    After "[1998]" delete "2004" and insert "2003"
