        Speaker Stephens introduced the bill.

        Victoria Tennis, public, spoke for the bill.

Motion:
    Rep. Cox moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Reps. Curtis, Hendrickson, Swallow, and Way absent for the vote.

        Rep. Arent relinquished the chair to Rep. Way.

H.B. 75    Background Checks for Bar Applicants (P. Arent)

                            
        Rep. Arent introduced the bill.

        Katherine Fox, Utah State Bar; Steve Crawley, Utah State Bar; and John T. Nielson, Utah State Bar, spoke for the bill.
        
        Rep. Bryson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Reps. Cox, Curtis, Hendrickson, Stephens, Swallow, and Way absent for the vote.

Motion:    Rep. Arent moved to amend the bill as follows:

        1. Page 2, Line 32:        After "this Subsection (4)" delete "b"

        The motion passed unanimously with Reps. Cox, Curtis, Hendrickson,
        Stephens, Swallow, and Way absent for the vote.

Motion:    Rep. Arent moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Reps. Cox, Curtis, Hendrickson, and Stephens absent for the vote.

Motion:    Rep. Bryson moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Reps. Cox, Curtis, Hendrickson and Stephens absent for the vote. The meeting adjourned at 8:55 a.m.
