This act modifies provisions of the Election Code relating to ballot form by allowing counties
to develop and implement systems that allow voters to cast their votes electronically.
This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
ENACTS:
20A-6-104, Utah Code Annotated 1953
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
Section 1. Section 20A-6-104 is enacted to read:
20A-6-104. Electronic ballots and electronic voting.
Under the direction of the lieutenant governor as chief election officer, a county may
develop and implement a voting system meeting the requirements of the Utah Constitution that
allows a voter to cast the voter's vote electronically.
