             5      This act modifies provisions related to Parks and Recreation to incorporate Old Iron Town
             6      into the state park system. This act appropriates $100,000 from the General Fund, for fiscal
             7      year 2001-02 only, to the Division of Parks and Recreation for the development of Old Iron
             8      Town. This act takes effect on July 1, 2001.
             9      This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
             10      ENACTS:
             11          63-11-66, Utah Code Annotated 1953
             12      This act enacts uncodified material.
             13      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             14          Section 1. Section 63-11-66 is enacted to read:
             15          63-11-66. Old Iron Town incorporated into state park system.
             16          The Division of Parks and Recreation shall accept the donation of Old Iron Town from the
             17      Sons of Utah Pioneers and incorporate the site into the state park system.
             18          Section 2. Appropriation.
             19          (1) For fiscal year 2001-02 only, there is appropriated $100,000 from the General Fund
             20      to the Division of Parks and Recreation for the development of Old Iron Town.
             21          (2) The money appropriated in Subsection (1):
             22          (a) may be used to:
             23          (i) acquire property necessary to provide access to or parking at the site;
             24          (ii) acquire water rights;
             25          (iii) construct restrooms or other facilities; or
             26          (iv) preserve existing historic structures; and
             27          (b) is nonlapsing.


             28          Section 3. Effective date.
             29          This act takes effect on July 1, 2001.
