APPROPRIATION FOR HORSE CARE

3 2001 GENERAL SESSION

6 This act appropriates $140,000 from the General Fund for fiscal year 2001-02 to Utah State
7 University Extension for an educational program to assist horse owners in providing care
8 for their horses. This act takes effect on July 1, 2001.
9 This act enacts uncodified material.
10 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
11 Section 1. Appropriation.
12 (1) There is appropriated $140,000 from the General Fund for fiscal year 2001-02 to Utah
13 State University Extension for an educational program to assist horse owners in providing care for
14 their horses.
15 (2) The money appropriated in Subsection (1) may be used to hire personnel and pay for
16 operating expenses necessary to disseminate information and conduct training on horse safety,
17 health care, nutrition, and reproduction and horsemanship skills.
18 Section 2. Effective date.
19 This act takes effect on July 1, 2001.
