UTAH HIGHWAY PATROL SALARIES

5 This act appropriates $1,400,000 from the General Fund for fiscal year 2001-02 to the Utah
6 Highway Patrol for salary increases for troopers. This act takes effect on July 1, 2001.
7 This act enacts uncodified material.
8 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
9 Section 1. Appropriation.
10 (1) There is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 2001-02, $1,400,000 to the
11 Utah Highway Patrol.
12 (2) It is the intent of the Legislature that this appropriation be used for a three-step salary
13 increase for troopers, senior troopers, sergeants, and lieutenants in field operations in the Utah
14 Highway Patrol. This increase is approximately 11% and is in addition to the governor's proposed
15 6% salary increase.
16 (3) The money appropriated in Subsection (1) is nonlapsing.
17 Section 2. Effective date.
18 This act takes effect on July 1, 2001.
