Mr. President:

    The Business, Labor, and Economic Development Committee reports a favorable recommendation on S.B. 148, CONSTRUCTION BID LIMIT AMENDMENTS, by Senator H. Stephenson, with the following amendments:

1.    Page 4, Line 97:        Delete "(a)" and delete "loss of county or" and insert "probation period established by rule of the department, wherein all projects of the county or municipality shall receive prior review and approval of the Privatization Policy Board created under Section 63-55a-2 if:
            (a) the project has an estimated cost of more than 50% of the bid limit; and
            (b) the work is being performed by force account."

2.    Page 4, Lines 98-101:        Delete all of lines 98 through 101
