Mr. President:

    The Revenue and Taxation Committee reports a favorable recommendation on S.B. 159, PUBLIC ACCESS TO BUDGETS AND FINANCIAL STATEMENTS OF TAXPAYER FUNDED ENTITIES, by Senator H. Stephenson, with the following amendments:
1.    Page 1, Line 24:    Delete "records" and insert "budget documents and financial statements"

2.    Page 1, Line 25:    After "entity" delete the period and insert "if 50% or more of the public association's:
        (a) members are elected or appointed public officials from this state; and
        (b) membership dues or other financial support come from public funds from this state."
