8 LONG TITLE
9 General Description:
10 This bill appropriates money for the Terrel H. Bell Teaching Incentive Loans Program.
11 Highlighted Provisions:
12 This bill:
13 . appropriates money to the State Board of Regents for the Terrel H. Bell Teaching
14 Incentive Loans Program that:
15 . provides loans to students who enter a teacher licensure program and declare an
16 intent to teach in the state; and
17 . waives repayment of the loan based upon the number of years the loan recipient
18 teaches in the state.
19 Monies Appropriated in this Bill:
20 This bill appropriates:
21 . as on ongoing appropriation subject to future budget constraints, S. [ $692,300 ]
21a $1,200,000 .S from the
22 H. [ Uniform School ] Education .H Fund for fiscal year 2007-08 to the State Board of Regents.
23 Other Special Clauses:
24 This bill takes effect on July 1, 2007.

28 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
29 Section 1. Appropriation.
30 (1) As on ongoing appropriation subject to future budget constraints, there is
31 appropriated from the H. [ Uniform School ] Education .H Fund for fiscal year 2007-08,
31a S. [ $692,300 ] $1,200,000 .S to the State
32 Board of Regents for the Terrel H. Bell Teaching Incentive Loans Program.
33 (2) The money appropriated in Subsection (1):
34 (a) shall be used in accordance with Title 53B, Chapter 10, Terrel H. Bell Teaching
35 Incentive Loans Program; and
36 (b) is nonlapsing.
37 Section 2. Effective date.
38 This bill takes effect on July 1, 2007.
