Mr. Speaker:

    The Political Subdivisions Committee recommends H.B. 222, OPEN AND PUBLIC MEETINGS - ELECTRONIC NOTICE, by Representative J. Dougall, be replaced and reports a favorable recommendation on 2nd Sub. H.B. 222, OPEN AND PUBLIC MEETINGS - ELECTRONIC NOTICE with the following amendments:

1.    Page 1, Lines 20 through 21 :    

             20          .    provides that a public body may use a third party

{   Internet   } service provider        or website       to post

             21      public notices if the website is easily accessible on the Internet;

2.    Page 5, Lines 123 through 125 :    

             123          (b) Nothing in this section shall prohibit a public body from utilizing a third party
             124     
{   Internet   } service provider        or website       as the primary host for posting of public notices as required by this

             125      chapter, provided that the public notice is easily accessible to citizens that use the Internet.
