Mr. Speaker:

    The Government Operations Committee reports a favorable recommendation on H.B. 303, CAMPAIGN FINANCE FILING REQUIREMENTS, by Representative G. Hughes, with the following amendments:

1.    Page 3, Lines 67 through 68 :    

             67          (c) make and enter orders and judgments, and issue the process of the court to enforce
             68      all of those orders and judgments.

 

(3)    The lieutenant governor's failure to send timely notice under Section 20A-11-103 may not be used as a defense for a person's failure to strictly comply with the filing deadlines for financial disclosure reports under the provisions referenced in Subsection (2)(b)(i).
