Mr. Speaker:

    The Education Committee reports a favorable recommendation on H.B. 310, TRANSFER OF STUDENT RECORDS, by Representative T. Cosgrove, with the following amendments and recommends it be placed on the Consent Calendar.

1.    Page 2, Lines 29 through 32 :    

             29          [(3)] (2) Any school requested to forward a copy of a transferring student's record to
             30      the new school shall comply within 30

  school       days of the request unless the record has been flagged

             31      pursuant to Section 53A-11-502 , in which case the copy [shall] may not be forwarded and the
             32      requested school shall notify the division of the request.
