Mr. Speaker:

    The Health and Human Services Committee reports a favorable recommendation on H.B. 328, CHILD PROTECTION AND PARENTAL RIGHTS AMENDMENTS, by Representative W. Harper, with the following amendments:

1.    Page 16, Lines 487 through 488 :    

             487          (a) requiring the child to be present at the postadjudication hearing would be
             488      detrimental to the child

  , or impractical       ; or


2.    Page 17, Lines 500 through 503 :    

             500          (b) Subsection (4)(a) does not apply if the court determines that:
             501          (i) it would be detrimental to the child
  or impractical       to comply with Subsection (4)(a); or

             502          (ii) the child is not sufficiently mature to articulate the child's wishes in relation to the
             503      hearing.
