    The Government Operations Committee reports a favorable recommendation on S.B. 227, UTAH FIRE PREVENTION BOARD AMENDMENT, by Senator P. Knudson, with the following amendments and recommends it be placed on the Consent Calendar.

1.    Page 2, Lines 56 through 57 :    

             56          (x) establishing minimum

  ongoing       training standards for hazardous materials emergency

             57      response agencies;

2.    Page 3, Lines 77 through 78 :    

             77          (n) establish a certification
{   program   } for persons who provide response services

             78      regarding hazardous materials emergencies.
