Vice Chair Dunnigan called the meeting to order at 8:08 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Hansen moved to approve the minutes of the February 2, 2007 meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Biskupski, Rep. D. Clark, Rep. Duckworth, Rep. Ferry, Rep. Morley, and Rep. Walker absent for the vote.

S.B. 42    Preferred Prescription Drug List (Sen. A. Christensen)

Sen. Christensen introduced the bill to the committee.

H.B. 332    Mobile Home Owners' Rights (Rep. P. Riesen)

Rep. Riesen introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Hansen moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 1, Lines 15 through 16 :    

             15      a change in land use of the mobile home park;

  allows the donation of money to the fund to offset relocation expenses paid to mobile home owners; and      

             16          .    makes technical changes.

2.    Page 3, Line 64 :    

             64      obligation held by the fund.
  (3)(a)    The executive director may accept monies donated to offset relocation expenses paid under Subsection (1)(f) from any person with an interest in the mobile home park.

(b)    A person donating monies under Subsection (3)(a) may claim any applicable deduction from income for federal and state tax purposes.

MOTION:    Rep. Garn moved to amend the bill as follows:

MOTION:    Rep. Ferry moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. D. Clark absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Garn moved that H.B. 307 be placed on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. D. Clark absent for the vote.

H.B. 273    Indoor Smoking Amendments (Rep. C. Oda)

Rep. Oda introduced the bill to the committee. (handout)

MOTION:    Rep. Ferry moved to delete in title and body H.B. 273 and replace it with 1st Substitute H.B. 273, and amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 2, Lines 53 through 54 :    

             53      and
             54          (ii) do not permit
{   anyone   }        an individual       under the age of 21 in the class

B private club        ,unless the individual is active military       ; and



The motion to substitute and amend the bill passed, with Rep. D. Clark absent for the vote.
