Section 8. Traffic engineering study on speed limit.
Prior to October 31, 2007, the Department of Transportation shall:
(1) conduct a traffic engineering study on an appropriate segment of the interstate system to
determine whether the current maximum posted speed limit may be safely raised by five miles per hour;
and
(2) report the results of the study to the Transportation Interim Committee of the Legislature.
